Random Events for round 2078:

Lakeside Heights has been lucky in the random events lately (take a peek at last round's random events). Here's how we fared this time around...

- you were afraid of that! Satisfy your biggest fear! (eeek! that could be anything...)
- gotta get out of this town, you never wanted to live and die in the same place... (hmmm...)
- midlife crisis! change your aspiration and lifetime want! (ooh, this could be disastrous!)
- you're brilliant! make yourself smart with the lot debugger, as needed for life (lucky dog!)

As before, here they are, but you have to wait to find out who they happen to ;)

***ETA***

move away
= (Aug. 2078)
midlife crisis = (Feb. 2079)
get brilliant = (Aug. 2079)
biggest fear = (Nov. 2079)

  1. Oh boy, random events! They look like fun! I just got caught up and really enjoyed reading a bunch of updates all at once - you are an amazing player, I have no idea how you manage this huge crowd of Sims.

  2. At least none of those random events involved killing off any sims directly.

Do you randomly choose who the random events happen to?

  3. beverly, thanks!

monique, like I said, the biggest fear event could be anything, and if you consider what most Sims' biggest fears are... eeek! That one is going to be sad :(

    Yes, I do choose randomly.

  5. Yippee! I made it to another round...

I'm probably slow on the uptake again, but did you invent the random events or are they the chance cards in the game?

  6. Moondaisy, I wrote probably about half of the random events I have in my file, the other half compiled of just good ideas I've seen on other people's files. We all kind of just throw our ideas around to share.

The RandomStuff program was made by Hook though, and that's linked in the sidebar. That's a stand-alone program, so you could use it for TS3 if you wanted.

  7. Call me slow but I don't get the random events and chance cards you use. How do you decide them?

  8. Karina, we all kind of write our own events, and swap and share them. They're written in a text file, and rolled randomly using Hook's RandomStuff program.
