June 2078 - Brady Lind is 63, Meadow is 62. (Nathan Lind is 27, Allegra is 24, Bianca is 10 months. Joel Harris is 36, Aurora is 32.)

Meadow and Brady Lind have been married 32 years this summer, and are finally getting around to throwing a little Golden Anniversary celebration this weekend.

Meadow has taken an interest in landscaping the yard a bit recently. It's a small yard, but she just wanted a nice quiet place to sit or read. She hopes to join the garden club if they'll let her in.

Meadow's floral and garden shop, Petals, is rank 5 now, and doing well. It gets pretty crowded inside, as small a shop as it is. And business is good any time of the year.

Awww, Dallas came to pick out some flowers for his mom's birthday! What a sweet boy! Meadow suggests the Wildflower Bouquet.

She knows her garden is small, but it must not be too shabby, because they give her the garden club membership. She's trying to learn what they're looking for, because she has her hopes set on winning one of those wishing well prizes.

Meadow tries to keep up with her figure. Brady is a really, really good cook, and she's always struggled a bit with her weight.

Did you know that, long long ago, when she and Jeremy Nova were young, and in college, and engaged, he actually had the nerve to complain that she put on a few pounds??? He said it just didn't turn him on. Talk about shallow!

He likes to say he broke up with her, but it was actually her who gave him the boot. (we have photographic evidence!) Rumor has it, he was already seeing Riley and Patrick's mom at that point. Well, she was already seeing Brady at that point too, so there!

But Meadow has to admit though, she's seen him around town lately, and he's not looking too bad for himself these days.

But, let us leave the past, shall we...?

Meadow has wanted grandchildren for years now, and she is happy to finally have her first grandbaby! Little Bianca is almost a year old now!

They invite the family over for a little anniversary celebration. Nathan looks hungry! Good thing Brady is working on dinner.

Aurora and Joel are still hoping for one of their own. Aurora finally went ahead and told her mom the truth, that they have actually been trying to conceive for some time now. Meadow and Aurora haven't always had the closest relationship, but it's something they're working on. This wasn't something Aurora really wanted to talk much about, but she said they were going to give it until the end of the summer before they would talk about fertility treatments.

Nathan talks about his work, and look at that attentive face Allegra puts on! Man, she's got the doting wife act down pat! Everybody wants to know how she does it, looking so put together with a new baby in the house??? Her secret... besides Meadow dropping by as often as possible to smother her only grandbaby, Allegra is still wearing her maternity dress! She isn't the type to care about fashion; she just likes that it's comfy ;)

And hmmm, where did Aurora and Joel go?

They figure maybe having a baby around would be a bit of luck - baby dust, you know... or maybe the fertility of her mom's new garden would do the trick? Kinky, maybe? A little gross? Hey, people, they're willing to get creative here. Fertility treatments are expensive!

Aurora and Joel finally rejoin the party. Aurora says, "Man, I'm hungry, I'm starved! Are you gonna finish that?"

She better get used to that feeling. She's gonna be eating for two for a little while ;)

notes: Sims in Lakeside Heights have to wait until they've been married at least 30 years to have their Golden Anniversary party. I think it's 50 years in real life, but even with ages adjusted, I don't think many Sims ever make it that far, so I figure 30 years is fair. Even if Sims are married late in adulthood, they still have to wait 30 years for their Golden Anniversary.

And Aurora and Joel can expect little baby Harris in March :)
