LCU, spring break 2078

2078, LCU, spring break

Okay, go pee if you need to, grab yourself a snack - this one is LONG! I tried to cut it down, but it was just too funny :)

Photobucket
Amelia is so Zen she even has her own flock of butterflies swarming around her. She thought she was dealing with things in a healthy and responsible and normal manner - because, she figures, what are you supposed to do when your boyfriend of six years cheats on you for the second time, and finally leaves you for somebody else? Some not-that-pretty, devious, man-stealing snake who honestly has quite a large forehead!!! And what, you mean five hours of yoga isn't normal???

Photobucket
Jeremiah doesn't think so and he calls Bella over. It's time for an intervention!

"How long has she been like that?" Bella asks.

Jeremiah says, "Five hours."

"Oh my God!" Bella says.

Photobucket
Bella tries first. But Amelia hates Bella and she doesn't get very far.

Photobucket
Mariah tries next. Amelia says, "Spring break, with Bella? Seriously? We'll kill each other?"

"She's just Bella," Mariah says. "You can't take her too seriously."

***

Photobucket
So Amelia agrees to go. Three Bradshaw cousins on one vacation - this is either going to be a lot of fun or a lot of trouble!

Photobucket
It doesn't take them very long to start pissing each other off. Spoiled little rich girls that they are, they each take their own double bedrooms. It looks like they might need the extra space from each other.

Photobucket
Mariah says, "Bella, only you would wear a coconut bikini."

"Of course I would," Bella says. "Why not?" She's dead serious when she says this, what's wrong with coconut bikinis?

Photobucket
First things first - they have to get to the beach! And well, second thing would be, where are all the cute guys? There! They found one! Okay ladies, let's not attack him all at once!

Photobucket
His name is Steve, and he and Mariah seem to have a decent connection... but she does have James at home. They've only been dating a couple months, but she really likes him a lot.

Photobucket
It seems Amelia is a little rusty in the meeting new guys department, and well, that's expected after being fresh on the dating scene for the first time in six years. What, you don't like to talk about aliens? Who doesn't like aliens?

Photobucket
Their next conversations go a little better. He's really cute, but weird! And pretty damn forward to boot! Hey, Buddy, what exactly are you looking at there??? She feels a little sleazy.

Photobucket
Posing for a photo op...

Photobucket
Well, their first day of the vacation is completely rained out! Do they look excited? Totally, mind-numbingly excited! So they head back to their hotel.

Photobucket
Mariah runs into Steve again later that night at their hotel. She says, "Are you stalking me?"

"No, I'm not stalking you!" he says. "Absolutely not!" She was just joking, by the way. Apparently, he's staying there too.

Photobucket
And Bella is so bored she decides to work on her landscaping skills...

By the middle of the vacation, all three girls start to worry about the term papers they haven't finished and the classes they're missing back home. Silly fortune Sims!

They're all feeling pretty blah about things so far. Amelia just wants to flirt with someone, anyone, she doesn't even care who! Bella wants to dance with someone, anyone, and Bella never cares! Quick, to the Tiki Bar!

Photobucket
Seawater Beach was once a quiet and relaxing place before droves and rowdy young spring breakers demanded a little night life on Twikkii Island. What good is spring break without a tiki bar? Bella gets her dance, while Mariah rocks the DJ booth.

Photobucket
Amelia runs into weird (but hot!) island guy, and gets that flirt she wanted. And a tickle party as well. Amelia is having a blast with hot island guy, but Mariah and Bella aren't having so much fun. They would rather be learning hot stone massage. They tell Amelia to bring her hot island guy if she wants, and oh boy does she want! Our good little Amelia seems to be getting carried away with her new freedom! But hey, that's what you do after a break-up, right? You go get yourself a hot island guy! It's therapy!

Photobucket
Mariah finally got that massage class she wanted.

Photobucket
And then there was Demitri, and again, all three of the girls rush up to him at once, Amelia with her date right behind her! Come on girls, let the man breathe!

Photobucket
Mariah says to Amelia, "Back off, you already have a date."

Bella says to Mariah, "You back off, you have a boyfriend at home..." And then we remember, oh, Bella has three or four boyfriends at home. But what is Mariah going to do with him anyway, she's saving herself for James, remember?

Mariah wants to go back home to their hotel, and Amelia and Bella's dates tag along.

Photobucket
Bella decides in the middle of her date that she absolutely must call home to check in with Jeremiah! (I'm serious, she wouldn't roll any more wants for her date until I let her, lol). Her date entertains himself while they talk.

Jeremiah is home, he says, "Are you having fun?"

She says, "It's okay. Is it cold there?"

He says, "Yeah, it's March."

She says, "Oh, okay, see you in a couple days then."

He says, "Okay, bye." I guess sometimes she just wants to hear his voice.

Photobucket
Meanwhile, Amelia takes hot island guy back to her room. This is a big deal for her, you know, having only been with the same guy her whole life.

Photobucket
Well, now she's been with two ;)

Photobucket
Mariah finds Steve again, and they just talk. He's really nice and easy to talk to. She thinks she's done the chaste thing long enough, but she doesn't want her first time to be with some random guy she met on vacation. Poor guy, she hopes she didn't give him the wrong idea.

Photobucket
After all that boy-craziness, the girls have worked up quite an appetite! They have a late night dinner together, and when the topic comes to engagement, Bella looks like she's about to crap herself! Don't worry, Bella, we're not talking about you!

Photobucket
Then Bella says, "So, you're going to give it up to James then? " Mariah is shocked for just a moment, but then, they all know Bella isn't one to be sensitive about certain subjects.

***

Photobucket
So it's the last day of their vacation, and Amelia and Bella have still found very little in common. And maybe they never will, but at least they're back on speaking terms, even if the conversation isn't pleasant. They are family, after all.

Photobucket
The girls make one last stop at the beach before they head home. Hey, Buddy, what do you think you're looking at??? What is it with these island men and their freely-roaming eyes???

Photobucket
Amelia trades in her pasty skin for a nice bronze tan. And Mariah says, "Ouch!"

Photobucket
Bella says "Ouch," too! Oops, I don't think that's what she was looking for!

***

Photobucket
When she's back home, Mariah doesn't wait a minute to call up James. And she doesn't wait another minute to take him up to her dorm room. She says, "Easy on the sunburn now." He promises that he will be.

***

note: LOL, Bella and Mariah were total buzz-kills on this trip! They didn't want to do anything fun. Mariah just wanted to go home and see James.

Poor Steve, if you remember from last spring break, Steve was the date who made Marisa realize she wanted to marry Roland. I don't think he'll ever hook up, lol.

Photobucket
And I've finally gotten around to building some affordable little beach-side bungalows, because I have quite a few families wanting vacation homes :)

  1. Haha, those three are quite the trio! And Amelia with the butterflies, LOL! At least she managed to forget all her worries on their vacation.

The girls fighting over the boys was great.

  2. It sucks to go to the beach and not have that much fun. At least Amelia got a good tan and James finally got some from Mariah.

I stole your idea about using random events to spice up Oasis Valley. And man did it fudge up my plans a lot. Anyways, thanks for the ideas.

  3. mao, they were fun! or well, funny at least.

monique, yup, random events will always do that! I like the surprise though, because when I do everything as I plan all the time I get bored easily. Have fun!

  4. LOL, those island guys seem to have a big problem keeping their eyes from wandering. ;)

  5. Shana, they did! It was hilarious! The best I can figure is maybe that guy was studying a seaweed decoration that was on the ground next to her, since as far as I know, ogling is not built into the game, lol :)

  6. The coconut bikini bit was fun. I noticed it cottoned on with Mariah. These trips to the island make the whole story realistic and the changes of scenery are great (bit like updates on LCU). The beach bungalows look great - I know I would want one! :)

  7. This was a fun episode! And I have to admit that there being photos in this made it especially enjoyable. I could see what everyone looked like, I could see their antics and their expressions. I could finally see what your stories talk about. :-D

    1. You made it to the pictures! Yay! lol! I remember this one and the next few being some old favorites of mine, so I'm glad you'll get the "full experience" from them. It's true, even though you *could* read the stories without pictures, they were written with pictures in mind—for example, when I'm writing a fully text-based story, there is a lot more that needs to be described in words—so some of the enjoyment is lost without the images. I am impressed and flattered that you read through all of those old stories anyway. Thanks for reading! :D
