the undeniable coolness that is Lucy Harris

September 2078 - Toby and April Harris are 40, Lucy is 12, Sarah is 10, Samuel is 7, pet dog is Pepper.

Lucy did get that cell phone she wanted for her birthday, and thus the path to coolness begins! Now she can talk all she wants without tying up her family's phone lines.

Photobucket
And not only is she undeniably cool and on the track to twelve-year old fame, but smart too! Check out that grade card, Mom! Smart as she is though, she still insists that she doesn't want a job when she grows up.

Photobucket
Lucy and Sarah are trying to earn some money to help send their parents on that mountain honeymoon they never got to have. Lucy makes about $30, but that doesn't seem like enough. Hmmm, how much does a honeymoon cost?

Photobucket
They give up and Lucy takes Sarah and Samuel to Hazel Park, which got a recent makeover by the Apartment Life Community Enrichments project. Yay for new park toys!

Photobucket
Lucy met Dallas Deppiesse on the internet, of all places. He's two grades ahead of her and goes to Lake County Academy now, so she never noticed him around before. Though, he said she probably wouldn't anyway, since he's kind of a wallflower and all.

Photobucket
April gives Lucy the lecture about meeting people online, and you never know if it might be an axe murderer or a 300-pound woman.

Because April knows so much about the internet, she takes a job as a network administrator during the day, now that her kids are all in school.

Photobucket
The next day, Lucy calls Dallas and says, "You're not a 300-pound woman, are you? I've got some friends over, do you wanna hang out?"

He said no, something about making baked Alaska? What??? Well, he did say he was shy... or maybe he is a 300-pound woman after all! Maybe her mom was right!

Photobucket
300-pound woman, or not - ha! Look at what Dallas is missing!

Photobucket
Seriously! Lucy's a riot! How do you not want to hang out with Lucy??? Rock on, Lucy!

Photobucket
Sarah tries to rub off some of her brilliance on her brother. Or maybe it's the other way around? Maybe she could con him into doing her homework? Her grades have been slipping a little this year. She hasn't felt like keeping up with her homework for some reason.

Toby gets a $30,000 bonus from work for backing another Congressman running for office. What luck! He puts some money in college funds for each of their brilliant children - April insists that her children will all earn their college degrees! Nothing would make her happier in the world!

Photobucket
They also pay off their mortgage, and put aside some money because Toby and April WILL get around to taking that mountain honeymoon they wanted. They makeover the kitchen, and it turns out really, really blue. And they finally they get rid of that card table they've been eating off of since Lucy was born!

Photobucket
After just a few weeks of working, April is grabbed up by the higher-ups in her company to work as a computer programmer. She's been a stay-at-home mom for so long she almost forgot how smart she was! What did she major in again? Biology? Hmmm, not bad.

Photobucket
Lucy invites some friends over to watch the game, except that they do more dancing than watching the game. Summer comes to the party, and brings her boyfriend Tyler and his brother Beau.

She invites Dallas too, and he even shows up this time! He's not a 300 pound woman after all! She says, "Hey you're fun, we should hang out again some time. It might do you good to get out of the house sometimes!"

Photobucket
And it looks like Dallas is able to talk to girls while playing chess. Use whatever works for you, Dallas!

Photobucket
Wow, what a great party! Tyler and Beau are in high school now, and having them at her party definitely has to improve the coolness-factor for a sixth-grader! Lucy made some new friends, and caught up with some old ones, and verified that some people really are who they say they are on the internet. Lucy is so cool she could just watch herself talk!

notes: Lucy has absolutely no interest in dating right now, and at 12, I guess that's normal. She just wants to be best friends with everybody, lol. I actually thought she would have a crush on Beau, since he's pleasure and she's popularity, but go figure, she actually likes Dallas better, and he's knowledge. Weird.
