First, some old pictures :)
On the left are Tad's parents, Becca (Brant) Harris and Troy Harris. Becca was one of my neighborhood's founding Sims.
On the right is Tad and Tosha in high school. How about those haircuts? LOL! :)
Tad and Tosha when they were young. This must have been right around the time they were married.
And now. They've certainly come a long way.
The Seaside Woods Retirement Village is in Lakeside Heights and is owned by the Riley Estates Company. The admission fee is $10,000 per Sim, and that buys lifetime residence. Applicants must be at least 65 years old.
Tad and Tosha's cozy one-bedroom apartment. The other apartments look pretty much the same. There are four apartments on the lot, and they are played combined-family style. Elders don't tend to have much going on and the point is to play them all together :)
The all-important park, because you know there will be grandkids here! Pictured are Lucy Harris, Melissa Fortney and Sarah Harris.
Just a minute walk from the south lake shore and Lakeside Beach Boardwalk.
Some clown tries to talk to Lucy, and says with a smarmy grin on his face, "Are you in my algebra class?" Man, lame for a pick-up line! She doesn't buy into it though. Maybe her grandparents better keep their eyes peeled. Lucy might not be interested in dating, but boys are definitely interested in dating her!
Tosha says, "You're mother tells me you met some boy on the internet. You better be careful, there are criminals on the internet, you know."
Do you think she looks sufficiently mortified? LOL!
The second part to the Seaside Woods Retirement Village experience is the elders-only community center.
The community center is still just at the basic stages and I'll fill it out and decorate some more as I go. The current amenities include: massage, salon, sauna, pool, lounge, and groceries. Coming soon is an infirmary and gym.
And a bonus picture of Lucy and Sarah, when they were little - because I was just looking through old pictures for Tad and Tosha to put on their walls, and I always liked this one :)

notes: I just get a kick out of teasing Lucy about meeting Dallas online, since of all the boys she could have met, he's probably just about as dangerous as a puppy, lol!
That last picture is too cute! :) Your retirement home looks great. Poor Lucy, lectures about meeting boys on the internet from everyone!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shana :)
ReplyDeleteWow, your site is great! I love the way you keep track of each family in a specific month and year, I really want to do that, but my brain just can't wrap around it! LOL I'm working on it though! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks sims2fan! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm laughing about that! I like the way the warnings about internet use keep popping up. Realistic and it gives this feel of continuity! :)
