Half of this is a prequel story, and the more recent half you'll probably remember. This is not including the couples from the other young loves prequels, just to save space - I have a lot of couples ;) But some of those other stories would definitely qualify as love at first sight. You can find those here:
who just kisses a little in college,
young loves, and
couples never meant to be.
So, for Valentine's Day, I'll give you something good and heart-farty. Prequel story #7: love at first sight :)
Fall 2059, Toby Harris met April...
in their sophomore year of college, at Sim State University. And this must have been their very first date. Doesn't she look just smitten? lol! We suppose she's always been a very stoic, cautious, and practical woman - but she admired his charismatic charm, and honorable life ambitions. She might or might not have asked to see his tax records before she'd accept a second date, we can't quite be sure.
Spring 2061, Brooke Deppiesse met Phoenix McCullough...
in her second year of college, at Sim State University, when he asked if he could paint her for his art class. Geez, maybe that line always works on twenty year-old girls? But she would give him that small victory in their beginning, because she knows she's got him tied around her pinky finger now.
Winter 2064, Hayden Phoenix met Rhianna...
in their freshman year at Lakeside Heights High School. Hayden was always bold and goofy, but a little less sure on the romantic fronts. She gladly took care of that for them. They were fifteen years-old.
Summer 2064, Riley Nova met Chad Hathe...
through her best friend Samantha. It was the summer before they turned sixteen, and they spent the long, hot afternoons throwing water balloons at each other. We think he probably just wanted to see her in a wet t-shirt.
Winter 2068, Maxwell Shaw met Valerie...
in Lake City, while home from college to visit his mother. She was a few years older than him, and he still had a year left of college to finish, but Maxwell Shaw
knows women, and he knew right away that this one would be his queen.
Summer 2071, Matthew Watts met Leila...
as he was delivering tomatoes to the restaurant across the street from where she worked. She neglected to tell him she was still a few weeks shy of her seventeenth birthday. He was twenty-one, and had just come home from college to take over his family's farm. He had good intentions about not dating her until she turned eighteen, and they almost made it, but like fire, Leila was always full of trouble. He was finally putty for her smoldering brown eyes and flirty smile, and breathed a sigh of relief for the age of consent!
Spring 2072, Nathan Lind met Ally...
in his senior year of college at Sim State University. She was a freshman, dark and mysterious, and he carried some dark sadness of his own. But she was surprisingly soft (and domesticated) on the inside, and they lightened each other up.
Fall 2072, Adam Thompson met Heather...
in the cafeteria of their dorm, freshman year at LCU. He had a girlfriend, Charlotte, back home, so it would take him some time before they'd be together. But he never forgot the sight of her in that little green shirt, that matched the color of her eyes in such a fascinating way. Or maybe it was the cleavage. Probably a little of both.
Spring 2073, Lara Boyd met Patrick Nova...
in the common room of her dorm, in his final semester of college. He was there visiting a friend, and he always liked the way she came downstairs to play pool each morning in her pajamas, a friendly, free spirit without a care in the world.
May 2075, Bella Bradshaw met Cameron Gibson...
in the lobby of their apartment building. She was eighteen, he was twenty-three, and he was complaining about her loud music disrupting his beauty sleep, and something about that conversation made her feel squishy inside.
March 2076, Charlotte Centowski met Paul Gallagher...
one spring break, on Twikki Island. They only spent one single night together, building sandcastles under the moonlight, before exchanging phone numbers and going their separate ways. They would talk long distance for three years before finally making the leap to move in together.
October 2076, April Hutchins met Beau Jackson...
when she took a cashier job in his father's arcade. They were both thirteen and in the seventh grade. She was wild, weird, and fun, and like most teenage boys, he was looking for some wild fun. They would spend most of their youth waffling between ambiguous states of friendship and romance, but the one thing that was always understood is love.
October 2076, Tyler Jackson met Stephanie Nova...
as she was walking past his house one afternoon. It was love at first sight as far as he was concerned, or at least, for most of his seventh grade year it was.
February 2077, Tyler "met" Summer Phoenix...
or more precisely, he met her again after they hadn't seen each other in a really long time. Tyler can't actually remember the first time he met Summer, since he's known her for as long as he can remember knowing anyone.
August 2077, Liza Hathe met Robbie McCullough...
when their elementary classes took a field trip to the Watts Family Farm. She was nine, and he was seven.
October 2077, Mariah Riley met James Porter...
in her freshman year of college, at the campus pub. Maybe it wasn't meant to last, but love at first sight it certainly was.
May 2078, Justin Kim met Keri Riley...
when their mutual best friend, Stephanie introduced them. It was a pure wonder they hadn't managed to meet before then. Maybe Keri had been too wrapped up in Chandler Price. But they would be forever grateful to Stephanie for setting them up, and their first date was his senior prom.
September 2078, Lucy Harris met Dallas Deppiesse...
online... even though they'd lived just a couple of blocks away from each other their whole lives. She was twelve, and he was fourteen, and it took her weeks just to get him to come to one of her parties. Dallas says she'd probably never have noticed him otherwise. Lucy says she would notice him anywhere.
November 2078, Jeremiah Day met Stephanie Nova...
in his final year of college, at the LCU campus general store. He was a wreck over Bella Bradshaw, and she was in a tail-spin over confusing feelings about her best friend. They soothed each other.
November 2078, Luke Centowski met Jim Bar...
in their sophomore year of college at LCU. And he was gladly not nearly as edgy as he looked!
September 2079, Melissa Fortney met Elijah Roberts...
when someone brought him to her twelfth birthday party. Though she didn't pay him much attention that night, since she was busy starting her everlasting crush on Beau Jackson, whom she also met for the first time at this very same birthday party.
November 2079, Micah Buchanan met Mariah Riley...
in their junior year of college, at a party, where they spent their first of many nights, talking and talking, long through the night until the sun came up.
May 2080, Berjes Monif met Jodie Larson...
when he hired her to head up the obstetrics department at Lake City Memorial Hospital. He had no idea what he was getting himself into. He still isn't sure, actually.
May 2080, Piper Wilson met Hayden Phoenix...
On Grown-Up Gamer's Night, at the Gamer's Den in Bluewater Township. It wasn't what either of them had expected, but it would turn out to be exactly what they both needed.
May 2081, Blossom Moonshine met George McCarthy...
in the weeks after she graduated from LCU, and answered his ad for a roommate.
July 2081, Drew Bruty met Amelia Bradshaw...
on North Park Street, in front of her new house. He fell hard in love at first sight, but he'd have to spend more than a year working at her very carefully constructed defenses before she finally gave in.
September 2081, Natty Deppiesse met Charlie Roseland...
when she dazzled him with her cheesy smile at her cousin's bonfire party. They were both twelve, and in the sixth grade.
February 2083, Leila Watts met Corbin Gray...
at the Lake City Lotus, at the start of a very fateful yoga class. It was a meeting that turned entire worlds upside down, and they're still both trying to recover from the event.
May 2083, Tyler and Jeremiah fell in love with a helicopter...
at Fort Bluewater.
And about every five minutes...
Angelo Shaw falls in love at first sight with just about every
superfine little thing that he meets!
Happy Valentines Day! :)
LOL, Angelo. Priceless, just priceless. I can't wait to see some of the stories and loves develop.
ReplyDeleteThat's sweet.. and LOL at the helicoptor - and Angelo!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I was laughing so hard at the end. The helicopter, and then Angelo, you've got some love-sick sims!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Angelo is a lot of fun! And helicopters too :)
ReplyDeleteROFL @ Angelo! I think I'm really starting to "fall" for him. Great couples recap.
ReplyDeleteRiverdale, lol, be careful, he'll only break your heart ;)
ReplyDeleteAw, seeing Hayden and Rhianna together still makes me sad, even though if she hadn't died, he would never have met Piper.
ReplyDeleteLOL at Bella and Cameron's first meeting! Who would have thought they'd end up married all these years later? And I've read all the old entries but had you not told me that was Bella, I'd never have guessed!
"Tyler and Jeremiah fall in love with a helicopter" totally took me by surprise and had me giggling! Boys and their toys!
Angelo is just trouble on legs, isn't he?
This was all kinds of sweet. A nice little treat I didn't expect.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing a young Maxwell Shaw and Valerie. And Rhianna and Hayden and later on Hayden and Piper.
And, like Carla, I didn't expect those last two. LOL! Angelo, oh man, he certainly takes after his dad, doesn't he? Yeah, he's trouble all right!
Thank You for the sweet treat for the Valentine's Day. Hope You too had a good one;)
ReplyDeleteThe helicopter scene got me giggling.
I'm finally caught up and I agree with you that your sims get themselves into a lot of trouble.
Aili
Carla, you know, I have often wondered what would have happened if Rhianna hadn't died. Piper already existed in LH at that point and chances are he would have run into her eventually, especially since they have such similar interests and worked in the same career. If I recall, his attraction with Piper is notably stronger than what he had with Rhianna.
ReplyDeleteIt might have ended up kind of like what I'm dealing with in the whole Corbin/Leila/Matt thing right now. I don't know which of all the possible endings is the least messy, lol!
I had no idea what would come of Bella and Cameron when they first met. They've surprised me at every step of the way. :)
Lunar, thanks! I don't know, sometimes I think Angelo might even have his dad beat, lol! And that's hard to do!
Aili, hi again! And glad you enjoyed it! I do keep them busy, don't I? :)
Also, because I didn't know where else to let you all know that I've updated it, lol!...
ReplyDeleteI went through my "top twenty hottest couples" again and noted which couples were natural chemistry versus which had romance bonuses added to their scores. So have a peek at that again, if you're interested ;)
What a sweet update, I liked seeing/when everyone met. Bella and Cameron, what a great way to meet! Little did he know!
ReplyDeleteI lol'd on the helicopters too and Angelo.
LOL, I loved the helicopter and Angelo. All the dads of Lakeside Heights had better keep a close eye on him when he's around their daughters, LOL. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was fun getting a look back at how some of your couples met! :)
I had read this yesterday but I am so bad with commenting lately. :( But I loved the twist with the helicopter, LOL! And the Angelo part was my favorite. He is such bad news!
ReplyDeleteHayden and Rhianna made me do a very big, sad sigh. :( And the same for Matthew and Leila, given what they're going through right now!
Of course, I would be the one to get the sad parts out of this, not the happy ones, LOL!
Thanks everyone! Glad you enjoyed it! :)
ReplyDeleteMao, I did hesitate on whether or not I wanted to include couples that weren't currently together in this list (or couples that are currently troubled... or are yet to realize that they're troubled... lol!), but decided to go ahead with it anyway, since it's more a history of important meetings than it is a profile of the current couples. Even if some of them didn't work out, it doesn't diminish what they were at the time, you know?
But sadness understood. :)
I have to echo lunar fox here and say what a treat this was! I totally wasn't expecting it!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to go back and see how some of the couple we've grown to love met! I especially liked the ally / nathan one and lucy on the computer with dallas, lol!
I can't get over how hilarious you are. The Angelo Shaw one was a funny finish!
Billy, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! :)
