Price-Hudson wedding outtakes

For as simple as this wedding was, this was also the most FUN I've had doing a wedding in a really long time. They just wouldn't stop, lol! I thought I'd put all the funny in its own post, so not to disrupt the narrative flow ;)

This was actually the normal shot I thought I would use for the story (and that I'd put Chandler's "Score!" shot in the outtakes), but seeing as how they've always been a big bunch of goofballs, I just couldn't resist using it. But here, proof that they did have some serious moments.

I thought this was the sweetest wedding kiss I've done yet. It's Jane, isn't it? She just turns everything into sweetness, lol!

It was a simple wedding, but didn't end up being a very small one. You'll note from Cameron's head here in this picture that he and Bella were actually in attendance. For about a minute. They were there and gone so quickly I didn't even get any pictures of them.

Some time after the ceremony - or maybe during, we can't be sure - they ducked out the back, to the changing booth, had themselves a little "moment", and then carried on out the door. It was so very deliberate and decided. And so very much like them! Isn't that amazing? Sometimes it's like these Sims really do have minds of their own.

Then, besides Luke and Jim being superadorable the whole night, Adam and Heather were also there for a bit. Guests of the bride. And they ALSO left together. At the same time! They danced a little at the reception, had some cake, and then up and decided it was time to go. Standing right beside each other, (okay, so I made them hold hands like that, lol!), and then they both simultaneously went for the door!

They've got newborn twins at home though, so we imagine they didn't want to have a really late night. And Adam is a mathematician/scholar, so lets not criticize his taste in formalwear. Fashion is not his strong suit ;)

By the way, neither couple were set up on official dates or anything. So there we have it - couples will leave community lots together. Been playing this game for years and I never knew that!

Another funny couple, newlyweds themselves and guests of the bride, were George and Blossom McCarthy. (Their wedding outtakes will be shared in the semi-playables update next weekend.) I swear, a lot of the fun of doing weddings is seeing what ridiculous ensembles some of the guests turn up in. I certainly never chose this dress for Blossom, but somehow it almost works for her. And somehow, she even seems to match him, lol! They look like a banana split or something!

And LOL @ my last-minute Photoshop job on her belly, lol! She's about four or five months pregnant here.

Micah actually had a couple ex-girlfriends at this wedding. In the pink there in the background is that three-bolt Kana that he kind of dated, for a minute, back in the day. She was a guest of the bride too, and she's currently living in an apartment in Lake City (roommate of Evie Bachman, actually).

You don't have to try to remember who all these people are. But I just wanted to tell you a quick story about Kana, who had the most impressive first date EVER!!!

This is Kana Bruenig and Julian Cook. Kana is still single, and she met Julian through a friend, of a friend, of a friend, or something. Point being, she needed a date for this wedding, and this is their first one. They've only known each other for a few hours.

Mr. Cook lives in Lakeside Heights, and works as a bartender at Deppiesse's Lakefront Bistro. She doesn't know anything about him really, except that she likes him a whole lot! Either that, or it's been a really long time since she was on a date with anyone. Either that, or he gave her some of that spiked punch - he is a bartender, after all ;)

Because somehow he gets her into that photo booth. On a first date, folks. A first date! And I'm telling you, they didn't come out with any photos!

Let us remember that we're still on church grounds here. Oh, the unholy acts that took place in this church!

Everyone had a go! Even Micah and Mariah...

Mariah never ceases to mind-boggle, lol! Have you ever had a non-romance sim (neither primary or secondary - Mariah is fortune/popularity, of all things!) roll a multiple partners want? Spending too much time with Bella? But even Bella never rolls these kinds of things anymore, lol!

So, Mrs. Pure and Proper Mariah Buchanan entertains thoughts of taking random strangers in public? Let's just consider that one a fleeting fantasy. We don't need her fretting over yet another hangup for another four years!

Micah says, "Cheese!" Little too cheesy to use for the story, lol! But hey look, there's Luke and Jim being sweet in the background.

And of course, congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Price! :)

  1. Loved these outtakes!

In that first shot, Mariah really looks like she's shooting daggers at Jane, lol! Maybe she and Micah should renew their vows, since it seems she's keen ton wearing a fluffy wedding dress.

As for Blossom's dress, all I can say is oh dear. The Maxis designers were some seriously questionable people! And the photo booth shenanigans never get old. Nor does it seem Cameron and Bella do, with their public 'incidents'!

I started my new blog (do have a peek)a few weeks ago and my sims have already begun their outrageous public behaviour. Sims, I agree with you there, they really have minds of their own.

  2. Haha, I'm glad you used the "Score!" picture instead, it really reflects this group's personality, and plus, it put the story off to a light start.

Ooooh! I second Shake, a renewal of vows would be amazing for them!!!!!! Haha, Blossom's dress is... quite something! It would be interesting to see what George and her child will look like, could you perhaps show some pictures when the time comes?

And that couple leaving at the same time thing is pretty cool, I'm going to have to try that out some time!

  3. I should really make use of the other kisses in the game for my weddings. I never thought of it until now, but there's really no reason I'd have to use the Maxis "Get Married" interaction. It's kind of strange how everyone gets married and does the exact same kiss!

Love Bella and Cameron ducking in and ducking out so quickly! If I don't make Jonas and Tatiana selectable at weddings, they do the same thing!

As for Mariah rolling the 3 public woohoos want, YES, I have had that with non-Romance Sims! More than once. It's so strange!

But you're just asking for rampant woohoo by putting a photo booth in the church! It seems like it'd be pretty uncomfortable to me but Sims seem to love it!

  4. I'm glad you used the goofy shot, too - most people (including me! :) ) would have gone for the serious one, but that makes it a bit unique.

It's always funny to see what clothes sims pick for themselves - its half the fun of age-ups, I think :)

One other thing I often discover, at weddings or other formal occasions, is that I forgot to change the previous bride out of her wedding formal wear after the ceremony - I've had to make sims selectable and change the outfit, so that I don't have 2 or 3 brides running around.

  5. Shake, awww, I could see them doing a "renewing the vows" kind of thing some day. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Congrats on the new blog! It looks great so far!

Tessa, I'm glad I went with the "score" pictures too! :) These guys are just too crazy for that level of formality, lol!

Carla, ha, we can stage whatever we want for the story, huh? I still use the "get married" interaction, but I just don't take pictures of it. It's still handy for getting everyone to sit down and watch the wedding though.

Wow, so non-romance Sims can roll it! That's shocking! Though I guess Romance Sims also roll wants for marriage and babies and grandbabies, so maybe it's not so shocking after all.

I know, that photo booth was a bad idea, lol!

Blackcat, OMG, I do that TOO often, with the brides left in their formal gowns! In fact, I'm pretty sure Jane is still in hers right now, lol!

  6. LOL! Oh man, Mariah. Huh, perhaps she was just, you know, getting into the moment with her hubby.

Gotta love the photo booth, lol. I always think along the same lines as Carla. It does seem like it would be uncomfortable, but I guess they're up for the challenge.

Jane does look super sweet, but so does Chandler. They're the perfect off screen couple.

  7. Lunar, I know! Mariah is the last one I'd see *enjoying* a raunchy photo booth session! Guess you never can tell what those "good girls" get up to behind closed... photo booth curtains? lol!

I love Jane and Chandler! I'll probably be checking up on them quite often.

  8. Loved all these extra shots, Laura, thanks for sharing! I have to agree that that wedding kiss was just pure sweetness - and not the sickly kind of sweetness, just right!

After reading this I'm starting to doubt whether Mariah really has moved past her problems *lol* ... or is Bella just sending vibes to her so that she can live vicariously through another now that is a respectable married mother!

  9. Illandrya, thanks! And yes, lol, I was shocked to see that want from Mariah, of all people! Funny, I never thought I'd see "Bella" and "respectable" used in the same sentence, lol! She's grown up though, huh? A little bit at least ;)
