October 2077, Cody Bradshaw is 58, Kendal is 56, Bella is 21.
Everybody hates Cody Bradshaw after the whole blackmail scandal fell through! Madison is furious at her brother! How could he try to take advantage of family like that?
Bryson is obviously furious at him! They used to be such close friends.
Kendal is furious at her husband - she is a senator! Does he understand the repercussions to her career if people found out he obtained his new status through blackmail? She would be finished!
But his ex-wife, Autumn doesn't hate Cody. She understands perfectly. "You have to see, Darling, you Bradshaws always did consider yourselves more pious than the rest of us. But you're not, which just makes you a bunch of hypocrites."
So after Bryson put it lightly that maybe Cody ought to disappear for a while, the housing search is on... Lakeside Heights is out of the question, because it's too close to Bryson. Bryson owns half of Lake City as well. And Kendal thinks she could stand to get a little distance between Cody and his ex-wife, especially if Cody doesn't want to hear from a divorce lawyer for a second time!
They look at some properties in Bluewater Township. Quite a commute to the city, where Kendal's government offices are, but would be well worth it for some peace and quiet, and some distance from all this mess. Maybe Cody even needs some good old-fashioned wholesomeness in his life, you know, since he's willing to resort to blackmail and everything. They finally decide on a very simple one-bedroom ranch home, close enough to even see the lake on a clear day, and within walking distance to Main Street and the Watts Farm Market.
Cody steps down from his position as Business Tycoon, out of principal (he does seem to have principals, at least a small few...), and buys some shop space on Main Street. He always did want to be his own boss. Though he never did have a very original idea for a business. But hey, every community needs a general store, where they can get ripped off on overpriced general merchandise they could buy anywhere. (Wholesome, Cody, we're trying to think wholesome...)
They invite Bella over from LCU to see the new place, and she brings her cousin Mariah. Cody makes small talk - Mariah has no idea what went on back home after she left for college in the summer, and thankfully, Bella doesn't know either.
"God, it's quiet out here," Bella says. "I can hear crickets! What on earth do you guys do out here anyway?"
Club Dante is still there on main street, heavily remodeled and smaller. The land was sold off for shop space on Main Street until it's nothing more than a little pub at this point. Cody takes the girls down to Main Street. That is about all there is to do out here.
The girls think very highly of Mr. Landgrabb, who is much better looking than the Landgrabb men who came before him. Club Dante is the only Landgrabb property left now in Bluewater Township.
Bella talks to him first, because you know, she's forward like that. She even (so casually) makes a point to touch his arm as they're talking.
Meanwhile Cody and Kendal have a drink at the bar.
Mariah had to go home early - she has class in the morning...
And well, you know what kind of shenanigans Bella is bound to get up to... But not too much happens. Her parents are just downstairs having a drink. She and Mr. Landgrabb share a little backrub in the hot tub. Malcolm is his name, she finds out eventually...
And some dancing in their bathing suits while some really creepy dude watches (ick!). While she's dancing she thinks, hmmm, he's quite a bit richer than any of her other boyfriends. Even if she does have earth-shattering chemistry with Cameron or sweet devoted love with Jeremiah, she wonders if she might be the gold-digging type? I mean, you see what kind of wholesome family values she's grown up with. Though, she doesn't know if she could see herself living out in the country. Who knows, maybe she'll see Malcolm again sometime. This little wholesome town could use some shaking up, she thinks.
Hahahaha! "See herself as the gold digging type", oh, Bella. You will never cease to crack me up.
ReplyDeleteAnd at first I thought that creepy guy was her dad!
OMG, that WOULD be creepy!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI thought the creepy guy was her dad to at first. I think she just might be a gold digger. She should admit it and then move on.
ReplyDeletemonique, he does look similar, with a different beard. As for Bella, we'll see what kind of wants she rolls after college. Usually then they roll wants for who they want to marry, or if they want to marry for money. We'll see...
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, Malcolm Landgraabb is o much better looking than what I've seen of him so far in the Sims3 (where he starts as a kid).
ReplyDeleteI don't feel sorry for Cody at all, but this is like exile! :)
Moondaisy, my Malcolm is made-over. I like to imagine he's the nephew of the original (very odd-looking) one ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, Cody gets what was coming to him.
