the Watts family farm

October 2077, Matthew Watts is 26, Leila is 21.

Matthew Watts inherited his family's farm when his parents died in a tragic boating accident on Twikki Island when he was only nineteen years old. It wasn't long after that he met Leila, who was still in high school at the time, and their quick marriage caused quite the controversy in her family.

They had a traditional church wedding at the Bluewater Chapel of God, just after she graduated from high school. And they've been married for four years now.

Photobucket
Awww, aren't they cute? :)

It's October and Matthew is just finishing up the last of the harvest. Ready to buckle down for winter.

Photobucket
Leila thinks her husband is pretty darn hot! "Now look at that," she says. "Nothing quite like a man getting his hands dirty in a field!"

Photobucket
She helps out in the field sometimes too, though she has her own ideas to run a country shop on Main Street, where she'll sell hand-crafted toys and trinkets. She can't do too much right now though - she gets tired easily these days, since she found out she's pregnant. Their baby is due next August.

Photobucket
Matthew also owns the Watts Family Farm Market, where he sells his produce and fresh fish in bulk, as well as the cheapest and freshest groceries in town! People from all over the area make the drive out just to buy their groceries here.

And Leila finds herself getting out of bed in the middle of the night to have a bowl of cereal or two. She's starving constantly! She wonders, has she just been eating too much or is she showing already? She's going to be huge!

note: really not much at all going on with this family, as they wait for the baby to come along. They're quite happy and certainly well-fed, lol! That's all there is to it.

There's another couple having a baby at the end of next summer too, but they haven't announced it yet ;)

  2. This makes me miss my farm lot I had in an old hood. It was huge, it literally took all day to plant! Do you happen to use the crate hack object to crate all the produce or do you sell it individually?

  3. Mandie, thanks! :)

Mao, I use the fruitbowl of awesomeness (from MATY) to sell it in bulk. He sells it individually too though, for people who just want to make a single serving of juice, or whatever.

  4. I think they are adorable. Beautiful pictures too! I knew about the Sims2 gardening, but never saw a farm, so this promises to be interesting! :)

  5. Moondaisy, the pictures are actually meant to look a lot crisper, so I'm glad to hear you think they look okay. There's a link on the sidebar you can read about how much Photobucket sucks, lol! And what happened to them.

  6. Moondaisy, oh, and I should also warn you, since you're reading the archives, that my bandwidth is about to be exceeded soon for pictures. Probably in the next couple of days. This happens every month (and again, you can read more about it in my "photobucket sucks" tag).

I'm hosting the newer entries somewhere else, but it's taking me forever to get back through the archives relinking everything. So I'm very sorry if you get cut off in the next couple of days! If you do, the pictures will be back up again on the 13th.

  7. I think that's what happened when I went to the next chapter. I could read it alright but when I actually posted a message I lost navigation - twice!

I had no idea you had already replied to my ramblings and will check all those out first. I need to work on my on own blog, but will definitely come back here.

Thank you for the warning! :)

  8. Moondaisy, thank you for your comments! I probably can't reply to all of them, or in any great depth, but I'll answer your questions at least :)

  9. Oh so this is the start to Leila and Matt's life. I actually took a sneak peek at 'Ghost's from a wishing well part 4' the other day and I'm interested to see how their marriage happened to deteriorate. It was sad but so well written. :)

  10. Jennifer, right, they had no idea what they were in store for. (I had no idea either, at this point!)
