January 2080 - Andy and Claire Bradshaw are 53. (Jason Larson is 29, Amelia Bradshaw is 24.)

After a very interesting introduction, everybody got dressed and Amelia's parents were able to meet Jason Larson properly. A nice young man, working in social work at the moment, but still hopes to pursue a career in journalism. At almost thirty, we'd say the odds of a career switch now are not really in his favor. But a fine catch, if Claire might say so - almost as hot as Bryson Riley, whom she spent the evening fawning over.

They tell Amelia that they're selling the huge monstrosity of a house where she grew up. It's too much for just the two of them and a dog. And Andy adds that it has something to do with Claire's fantastic college grades... or maybe he meant that they spent too much money on student loans for her law degree?

"Where will you go?" Amelia asks.

"Lake City," Claire says. "We like your neighborhood, actually."

But not only did they move close, but they moved into the very same building that Jason lives in. That might be a bit closer than Amelia hoped for.

But no complaints, her mother insists. "Amelia, I need to be close to the County Hall, and you know there's a shortage of good real estate in Lake City!"

(The monstrosity!)

Really, they're renting because they actually lost money on the purchase of that monstrosity of a house, and are walking away with scarcely enough money to even rent a townhome, much less purchase anything again. It's fine with them - they don't need much at this stage in their lives, and would, in fact, rather spend any extra money they had on a vacation home somewhere warm.

Let's not forget who else lives at the North Park Street Townhomes... Andy wonders where he recognized that guy from, and then it hits him! Alon Hutchins, the little creep that broke his baby's heart!

Andy wonders if he's supposed to defend his daughter's honor, or something... or at least let Alon know that he could kick his ass. You know, Alon works in the military too, much much lower down on the totem pole than Andy, and Andy could hold that over his head... if he were that kind of guy.

Andy and Claire are just hanging out by the mailbox, watching the neighborhood walk by, necking a little (oh my goodness with these two!) And Amelia walks by.

"Oh, Hi Mom," she says. Amelia is actually there to see Jason, but he's not due home for a few minutes, and she supposes she could hang out with her mom a while.

Well, they end up in the back yard, and thank goodness Jason finally came home, because this scene is just too surreal! Amelia's parents are playing kicky bag with the woman her ex-boyfriend left her for (and enjoying it!), in their new back yard, which is also her boyfriend's back yard! And Amelia is saying to Jason, "You know, I wonder if we might get our own place somewhere, out of the city... I hear Lakeside Heights is nice."

Jason says, "I was thinking the same thing."
