winter 2083/84: still hear you

I'm rather excited/anxious/nervous to share this season with you. If you've been following the babble thread, some of these are the stories I had clogging up my head for months. Many months! Almost a year for some of them! I've been waiting so patiently to share them, trying desperately not to drop spoilers all over the place. (And probably failing in some cases.) And of course, after all this hype, now I just have to hope they're as entertaining in reality as they are in my head, lol! ;)


The title "still hear you" is taken from the song "Drown" by The Smashing Pumpkins. (You might not want to listen to the whole song - kind of like nails on a chalkboard towards the end, lol! Gotta be in a certain mood for that stuff!)

And the header image is inspired by a scene in the New Year's update. Header #2 for this season is inspired by a story in January.

I've been telling you elections were coming up soon for what seems like forever - and now, they finally are coming up very soon! This season focuses on stories from Nessa, Stephanie, Justin, Ryanne, Summer, Hayden, Sarah, Lucy, and Bella, and will complete a bunch of our long-running storylines.

I'm not gonna lie, it's going to be a rough set of stories. (And you thought you had it bad already?) Almost everyone makes it out alive. (Right, I said "almost.") So get your tissues ready. But rough as it might be, these stories are not without hope.

    I've finally caught up! And I've installed a roll of toilet paper next to the PC. So I'm ready! Bring it on!

    I worry about April.

    And I'm not promising not to sob like a crazy woman when we get to the death. (I too hope it stops at 1).

    I'm waiting for the stories. I love stories that make me have to buy another box of tissues, but as you've written, as long as there are hopes in it :)
    what program do you use to make the header? I love it.

    Flit and Kiri, hi! And welcome! (If I haven't welcomed you already, lol!) So glad to have you guys reading, and just in time for a new season! :)

    Flit, I'm glad you like Sarah! She's such a very interesting girl! I love the age she's at right now, fifteen, and really starting to take hold of her own life for the first time.

    Kiri, congrats on catching up! That's a lot of reading!!!

    Oh, and don't worry, I'll certainly be sobbing right along with you all! We've been spared from the whole death thing around here for a long time. So I kind of wanted to give you all a warning, lol!

    M.J., thanks! I use Photoshop on my headers.

    I tend to like the sadder stories too. But with these stories at least, I think they've really dug into my brain not just because they're all miserable, but because there also seems to be a common theme of reaching out - connections in the dark, if we might be poetic, lol!

    Aw, the new header is my absolute favorite one. You can see how much time you put into it. I love that its snowing, and you see everyone in the house, and steph on the side.

    I finally have time to read everything! I missed lakeside heights, I'm waiting anxiously for more stories. :)

    The new banner is wonderful but who is that on the left of your banner? I couldn't quite tell. I'm probably going to say "duh" when you tell me!

    Billy, hey, welcome back!!! I do spend WAY too much time on these, for the fact that I'll only use one single shot - I think I took about 20 shots to get the one I wanted, lol! It's really hard to arrange a scene into a 900x225 frame.

    Carla, it's Stephanie ;) Oh, I'm hopelessly behind on my blog commenting, but I'm traumatized by your ROS death too!!! I read it on vacation - not exactly a light vacation read, lol! But so, SO sad :(

    directlyrie, awww, thanks! Just FYI though, there's the "coming soon" box in the sidebar, which tells you when to expect a new story, so you don't have to check back every day. (Unless I push it back another day at the last minute and go to bed instead, lol!)
