Interview notes: Maxwell Shaw, dated Samantha Bradshaw briefly in the spring of 2073, a few months before her disappearance.

"Samantha who?"
"Bradshaw. My sources say you dated her, about 2073."
"Goddamn," Max says. "2073? I was just out of college. You think I remember half the shit I did back then?"

Max chuckles. "Yeah? I think you're the cleanest thing in here, Sweetheart." His lips curve into a slick grin. "And you're not even that clean."

"I don't have that information," the interviewer says.
"It's not mine," Max says. "Is that what this shit's about? She got herself knocked up and now she's coming back around, saying it's mine?"

*******
notes: there is an interviewer, by the way. I think I started these interviews with some vague idea of a faceless nameless interviewer that you'll never meet - but no, there is one. He's no great mystery, though who hired him to investigate all these people from Samantha's past just might be a little bit of a mystery. But I took the pictures before I decided to use an actual interviewer, so he'll just have to stay a mystery a little bit longer.
Pretend he was holding a camera or something ;)

(The bar clutter comes from Retail Sims. The bar counter I'm using is part of the Kitchen Basics set by Buggybooz. The Heineken set is from annevs at MTS.)
So it's coming together, but Max could still use some glowing fluorescent decor, and I'll totally have to make him some tacky bar clocks, lol! Ah, and mirrors, that's what I forgot! Dive bars *always* have mirrors behind the bar ;)
This is just what you would expect from Max - 'it's not mine' Hehe, very him indeed.
ReplyDeleteYour Dive Bar looks very realistic, but indeed is missing the mirror...nice work, i'm sure your sims will enjoy it a lot.
Oh Max... :D
ReplyDeleteThe bar looks great. I know what you mean about the not wanting to see another shiftable OMSP. I tried to decorate a grocery store and it took me a few hours just to get the items in place. So frustrating!
That's so sad. He doesn't even really remember her and he's far more concerned about what she might want from him than he is about why the interviewer might be asking about her in the first place. I really hope she finds some sort of peace when she gets back to Lakeside Heights.
ReplyDeleteWell, Max hasn't changed much since then I'd guess, just with more and more women added to his list.
ReplyDeleteI suppose Samantha can't really compare to some of them in the looks department! Plus, Max doesn't know of all this intrigue into her background, so to him she's just another relationship. ;)
Speechless, thanks! I couldn't see Max reacting any other way! And yes, I have a couple of bar flies ready to get their drink on, lol! It'll show up again in Corbin's story - I think I'm gonna have Berjes drag him out ;)
ReplyDeleteFlit, thanks! Oh, there has to be an easier way! It's such tedious work! Somebody needs to make a multi-slot OMSP or something. And the ridiculous part is after all those bottles, I then went and made Amelia a pantry for her kitchen, so now I have to place all kinds of stuff with OMSPs again, lol!
Rachel, truly, I think she's much better off just being a small blip on his radar, lol! I can't wait to see how she grows before she makes it back here.
Shake, no, he really hasn't changed much at all! He's maybe more careful about it now - sometimes - but he's still up to his old tricks, for sure.
Samantha has a special kind of beauty, I think, and not one that Max would ever take the time to stop and appreciate.
Max is such a sleaze! I was almost offended on April's behalf there, which is a testament to how much you can make people care about pixels! I'm definitely looking forward to more Samantha-related interviews.
ReplyDeleteROFL I love the bar! And are you sure you're not talking about Pittsburgh's night life. There are dive bars littered throught the city. If you ever watched Cops during the 90's when they did the 'burgh, all you ever saw were drunks and men in wife beaters being arrested for... beating their wives.ROFL Yes, Pittsburgh is full of drunks. lol
ReplyDeleteZoe, ah, Max will be Max, lol! Don't worry about April though, she knows she isn't virginal, even if she looks it at first glance ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the interviews! I've got quite a few of them before this project is over.
Riverdale, LOL! OMG, men in wife-beaters beating their wives! (I feel terrible for cracking up at that, but LOL!) I bet Pittsburgh and Toledo are probably a lot alike then.
These interviews are fun. LOL, I was surprised when I got to the end of this because it was so short but then I thought, well, Max wouldn't say anything more, would he? He wouldn't want to incriminate himself!
ReplyDeleteCan I ask where you got those windows you're using in the bar? I can think of countless lots I've built in the past where they would have been perfect but I don't think I've seen them before!
Carla, true, lol! That was the most I could get out of him! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, the windows...? I'm pretty sure those came from some lot download from GOS, because I know I didn't download them specifically. I'll see if it comes with any creator info.
Ah-ha, found it! I got it through GOS, in some lot download, but there's the whole set at MTS: Fusteria for broken building, by Guatla.
