LH stuff: Stephanie wallpapers

Okay, one more, and then this madness has to stop! But I do have two more in mind to make this weekend. After I write some stuff. I figure if I don't get this Jodie update out pretty soon, some of you might show up on my doorstep with pitchforks? ;)

But first, a wallpaper for those of us in darker moods?

Now be warned, these are about double the file size as the last set. Not really sure why, since darker colors usually mean smaller file sizes for me. But I had to save them at full quality to avoid all the ugly compression, and I'm totally not even being nitpicky here! So they range in size from about 500-300kb each. But you know, they're wallpapers, so quality is kind of important.

I guess this is also kind of a teaser for the New Year's update, since you haven't read it yet ;)

wide 1440 x 900
wide 1280 x 800
standard 1024 x 768
droid 960 x 854

Happy wallpapering! :)

  2. Looks really nice but may I ask where you got the font from...or what is it called?

  3. Thanks Carla! :)

Rome, it's called "Last Words" and it's here. It's kind of hard to read most of the time though, so I usually put a contrasting drop shadow behind it.

  4. Oh, and Carla, I tweeted it earlier, but with this one I tried something different to make the image so large. I took the center image first, and then panned the camera left and right to get the side shots, and up to get a sky shot, and spliced them all together. That sky took me forever to do, lol!

  5. I love these backgrounds! As soon as I saw this one, I set it as my desktop. It's amazing how much emotion and story you fit into one single photo and sentence.

  6. Katherine, thank you! I used to LOVE doing these kind of things - picture/poetry combos, long before I'd ever played Sims or started writing Sim-illustrated stories. I guess it's only natural that I would gravitate toward Sim-storytelling eventually. I just love the format - true, there's so much to be said with a few words and a thoughtfully constructed image.

I'll post some of my other older picture/poems this weekend, when I finish the other two planned wallpapers.

  7. Oh, cool, thanks, Laura! You might have tweeted that after I'd gone to bed. ;)

    It turned out great!
