Whoa! Who the heck are all these kids??? Let's see who all is growing up this year.
University (college freshman, age 19)April Hutchins and Beau Jackson are such great friends. They really have a LOT of fun together! Because the whole world is fun and games to April, and well, pretty much to Beau too.
Just remember, it's all fun and games until... well, until somebody tries to make it serious, we suppose. Let's not make any promises we can't keep...
They could talk to Tyler about broken promises. Tyler Jackson should probably not be allowed to handle sharp objects. At least around small children.
He says, "Watch this kid. This is like what it feels like to have a dagger thrust into your heart."
Zachary Harris knows nothing of daggers or broken hearts, yet, so maybe Tyler can bring it down to his level.
Tyler says, "Don't worry, buddy, it'll come. It will come! It's like you're playing blocks, right? That's what you kids do, and she takes all your damn blocks away, every single one of them! And she says she wants to play blocks with other boys, but not
you anymore. That's what it's like kids. Don't play blocks with girls, it's not worth it!"
Robbie says, "But what if she doesn't seem to want to play blocks with anyone? Like she almost seems 'anti-block,' but you really want to play blocks with her, like more than anything?"
Tyler says, "Huh?"
Junior High (sixth grade, age 12):
LOL, Robbie! This big man on his twelfth birthday thinks he wants to settle down with his favorite little girlfriend and live out his days in peace...
Well, hold that thought, Robbie, but just remember, you're only twelve. Twelve year-olds don't always (or even usually) think with their heads on straight ;)
Robbie McCullough is just about as nice a guy you could imagine. It kind of runs in the Deppiesse family to some extent (we're not sure what happened to his sister, Fiona). And everybody loves Robbie McCullough, so why not try to make one more friend?
He says to Angelo, "I like your shirt." And his cousins stand by to watch him be shot down in flames.
Delphie says, "We told you he wasn't nice."
Dakota says, "Yeah, we told you."
The Deppiesse twins are also very nice girls, though a little maladjusted at the moment.
Especially Dakota here, who has run into some anger issues on her twelfth birthday.
Ugh, just so mad!

Delphie Deppiesse

Dakota Deppiesse
fortune/knowledge, (straight) LTW: max five skills

- red hairAngelo Shaw might not want to be friends with Robbie, but he has another friend in mind to make. He remembers Ryanne from the festival last summer, and he says, "Lord, girl, you grew
UP."
And we think it's a pretty safe bet he doesn't mean her height.
Grow up, she did indeed. Angelo notes that the view from behind is just as nice. But Ryanne is a spoiled little daddy's-girl, and her daddy has taught her to look for nice boys, which definitely rules Angelo out... at least for now.
Ryanne says, "Maybe call me someday when you get a job."
Too late, he's in love. Or well, love for Angelo at least. And if Angelo is anything like his own daddy, he'll love them all.
(Angelo has a really neat indent on his forehead that looks almost like a scar. No clue how it got there, but I think it suits him. We'll just have to imagine somebody's daddy or brother punched him in the face... it's bound to happen ;)Angelo Shaw
pleasure/romance, (bisexual) LTW: woohoo 30 sims (OMG!!!)
+black hair, athletic
-fatness
Ryanne Phoenix
romance/?, (straight) LTW: space pirate
+ good cook, niceness
- unemployedEarly Elementary (pre-K, age 4)Despite her name, Raine Nova is actually sunshiney sweet. She tends to thrive on attention and dramatics, though one day she'll have to tell her daddy she'd rather play tennis than be a performer. She enjoys playing with her best buddy Zach Harris, who is a little more subdued, but just as silly. They're joining the other leg of their little tripod, Elliot Miller, at Lake City preschool this year.
Felicity Watts hasn't had the privilege of making many new friends yet, besides her babysitter, Liza and her two baby brothers. She's attending preschool in Bluewater Township this year.
*** a true story of teenaged angst ***
They grew up into such sweet young ladies, didn't they? Let us note that both girls have nine nice points, because you would never guess it from what you're about to see.
Delphie embarks upon her young womanhood with a fresh attitude and a smile on her face, but not Dakota. No, Dakota has landed in a bit of a funk as she enters her teenage years.
Dakota grew up badly. She feels like utter shit, to use language that nice girls like Dakota have never used before! She feels rotten and she promptly bites her sister's head off!
Dakota says, "How dare you grow up better than me! We're supposed to be identical!"
"But we were never identical!" Delphie says.
"I know, that's the point! We're both alien, and you grow up looking normal and I look like a freak!"
"But you don't look like a freak," Delphie says. "I think you look beautiful."
"SO not nice! I'm telling mom!"
A little later, she wanders into her brother's bedroom to find Lucy, and gives Lucy "a piece of her mind." What did Lucy ever do to anybody??? (besides steal Vicky Garth's boyfriend...)
But you know Lucy, wide open heart of gold and all, she says, "It's okay, I know you didn't really mean it. Wanna play red hands?"
Dallas is thinking,
Whoa, there is WAY too much estrogen going on in this house right now!Kicking her own garbage can!

Ugh, the rage, the horrible fury! Puberty sucks! Somebody get this girl some Midol!!!
But then she cleans it up. You know, she is a tidy girl after all. She wouldn't want her own family to get roaches.
But holy cow! I'm going to have to put this girl on lockdown! She's seriously pissed off that I let her grow up badly, lol!
LOL! "Somebody get this girl some midol!" Wow, did she ever grow up into a little tyrant. She's going to tear Lakeside Heights apart. Haha!!
ReplyDeleteAngelo's little indent is very strange. I wonder how that happened? It does kind of look like a scar. Seems fitting, if he keeps going after girls like that, he's going to end up with a mark on his face... LOL
Poor Tyler!
LOL! OH MY! That is some teen angst! I cant believe how angry she is!
ReplyDeleteAngelo's "scar" is pretty wicked! Look how cute Raine is.
April Hutchins' 'do is so cute, especially with her outfit. I can't beleive she and Beau are freshmen!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Angelo's indent is going to be genetically passed on. With a ltw like woohoo 30 sims and being pleasure/romance, he's most likely going to have some impact on the population ;-)
These We don't need no education posts are great!
This whole post was great. What a day brightener! Haha, poor Tyler. And Robbie... LOL. "Huh" indeed.
ReplyDeleteDakota though had me laughing. Such teen angst. She should start rebelling against the family-- start wearing black or getting a temporary tattoo just to freak everyone out.
Bwahahaha! I love how Dakota kicks over the bin...and then cleans up after herself! That's classic. She's an angry, angry young woman!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Tyler is still nursing a broken heart. Poor guy!
Question: do you age your Sims up as you play them or do you teleport them in to a lot and age them all up at once? Seeing you usually do a birthdays post for the babies and a school one for new students, it just occurred to me that you might do the latter.
Tyler and Robbie's converstation was great. It made me laugh out loud. I love it when you write funny stuff (slightly jealous even).
ReplyDeleteIs that what happens when you let a sim age for child to teen badly? I might have to try it.
Mao, for real! She's having a really bad patch right now. I just hope it ends once I get her aspiration back up. I hope she's not like this forever, lol!
ReplyDeletemaisie, I couldn't believe it either! And Raine is going to be the prettiest little drama queen ever! :)
Francesca, April and Beau are loving college already! I'm guessing Angelo's "scar" won't be passed down, since I figure it's just an anomaly of his facial features and the way they've been fit together. Maybe not though... I wonder how long we'll have to wait to find out? For my girls' sake, I certainly hope it's not soon!
Lunar, thanks! Oh my! I'm still trying to make sense of Dakota. How am I going to write a story around this? LOL!
Sullivan, *sigh* poor Tyler, indeed! And poor Summer too. Unfortunately, it's looking like it'll get a little worse for both of them before it gets any better :(
They all age manually according to my spreadsheet rather than what their bar says, though I do *try* to keep their age bar in sync with where it should be - they do roll specific wants according to whether they're at the beginning or end of their age bar.
I do most of my aging in August. Teens age to YA after their high school graduation in May, as do YA's to adult after their college graduation. Baby to toddler I'll just do at the start of whatever update they're going to be in (like with Delilah recently). I like to have them looking a consistent age for the whole update.
This is the first time I've teleported them all to the same lot though, but it was just because there were so many of them. I normally take their back-to-school pictures at home. But I did like having them all together like that though. It ended up being pretty fun :)
Monique, thanks! That was fun to write! :)
This might be one of the first times I've ever seen anyone age up badly (they're so rarely that low in aspiration). I guess this is what happens, lol! I just hope she fixes herself soon.
Wow, I finally read up all the updates I've missed since my vacay. Lovely as usual, and look at all the kids growing up!
