February 2083 - Welcome to Lakeside Heights: Naomi and Lillian!

Delilah Gibson contemplates a fat blue block with fierce attention at the precise moment she's about to become a big sister, wondering what are her parents going on about back there?

Naomi Gibson is born at 8:00 in the evening, and has brown hair and eyes like her mommy.

Bella and Cameron aren't as scared this time around. Having been through this before, they know you just need to feed them, bathe them, and hug them. It's pretty easy, in fact. Maybe they'll pop out a couple more of these things.

They usually turn out reasonably well-adjusted.

That is, until these two girls become teenagers, grow up just like their mommy, to date boys just like their daddy.

Cameron puts the girls down for bed so Bella can get some rest. Jodie goes over the usual afterbirth instructions, and then since she finds him quite pleasant to be around, she continues talking, something about that oil spill that happened near Alaska a few weeks ago...

But Bella overhears this conversation and promptly attacks his face with a kiss!

Silly Jodie, doesn't she know Cameron wouldn't know an oil spill if he fell into one?

Maybe Cameron might be oblivious, but Bella Bradshaw KNOWS how this game works! And she's thinking, No, you aren't even trying to get all deep and environmental with my baby-daddy! You better step that wanna-be tramp ass away from my man, before I get all Jerry Springer up in here!

Jodie says, "Is that really necessary?"

In any case, Bella Bradshaw, Cameron Gibson, and big sister Delilah, would like to welcome baby Naomi.

It's 6:15 on a Thursday morning, and Keri couldn't sleep anyway. Who can sleep this pregnant? So Justin gets up too, not because he wanted to, but because she was just rolling around in bed whining that she couldn't sleep. Maybe there's something else they could do besides sleeping?

"It might be a while," he says. "You know?"

"Yeah," she says. "At least six weeks."

"You wanna?"

"I could go for some," she says.

But before he can even put his moves on, she stands up. "Ugh," she says.

"What?"

"Ehhhh," she whines. "It hurts!" Maybe there was another reason she woke up so early. "Don't just sit there, call the doctor," she says.

"I need pillows - no pillows, I need to walk. Babe, help me walk. No, wait, don't touch me. Get ice water, I need ice water, and maybe one pillow. But ice water first, ice, babe, I NEE-EEE-EED!"

Justin manages to get her everything she thinks she needs, at precisely the moment she needs it, but Keri does the hardest work, maybe because no one else can do this for her. And she's quite positive she's never worked so hard in her whole life!

Lillian Riley-Kim is born at 8:00 in the morning, and has her daddy's dark hair, and grandpa Bryson's brown eyes.

Justin says, "Good job, babe, I'm proud of you."

Keri says to a strange and wandering paper girl, "Who the hell are you, what are you doing, and why are you in my house?"

Jodie looks up from the health and fitness section to say, "Yup, looks like a baby alright. You can pay me whenever you're ready."

They pay Jodie so she can go and they spend some time with their brand new daughter. "She's amazing," Keri says.

But Justin is just amazed by his wife right now. He's never seen her work so hard, all for somebody else, this pretty little girl. He thought he wanted a boy at one time, but he's glad they got Lillian, even if she grows up proud and demanding just like her mommy.

notes: OMG, girls! This game MUST be completely gender-biased! For my current child-infant generation (counting Sam with the teens since he's almost aging up and there's a huge gap after him), I have 12 girls to 7 boys. Not as bad as some I've seen happening lately in other neighborhoods, but still! Huge girl-bias!

But anyway, YAY that so many of this generation's babies are being born with my non-default skintones! I love them, very well detailed and they have awesome freckles :) (Link on the CC page). Sarah Harris was the first to get one, but it was another 10 years or so before I had another one. Now I'm getting them all the time :)
