Orlando Centowski is all grown up with a family of his own. He and Audrey met in college, their oldest, Charlotte is twenty-one and a junior at LCU, and their youngest, Luke is a junior in high school. Charlotte comes home to visit from LCU on the weekends.

Orlando Centowski owns Centowski Custom Artworks, a small shop in Lakeside Heights' trendy and artsy city center, conveniently located near the towering Jessa Nova Art Gallery.
Orlando is a professional portrait painter, and Audrey is a sculptor. Orlando sells some of his own artwork, but makes most of his income being commissioned for local weddings and family portraits. Most of their work is done from their sunny artists' loft on the second story of their home, and they've recently added the "bubble blower" for creative inspiration.
Their little art shop is doing so well recently that Audrey was able to quit her day job as a paralegal, so she could help out in the shop and dedicate herself to her pottery.
Luke has terrible skin and a prominent nose, but those are the least of his problems. Luke is gay and his big sister is the only one who knows it. Well, we suppose the guys he's been dating know it too, but the point is that their parents don't know yet. Charlotte says, "Look at our parents! They're a bunch of peace-loving pipe-smoking artsy-fartsy hippies. What are you worried about?"
Luke and Charlotte have always been close, and it was actually Charlotte who took her little brother out for his first night at a gay bar. Charlotte found out about Lake City's Red's Diner being remodeled into the trendiest gay scene in town from her friend Cameron. Cameron does not at all discriminate when it comes to love! Charlotte didn't like the idea of her brother dancing with Cameron, as sleazy as he is. But no big deal, it's just dancing, right?
Luke is going off to college in the fall, and he thinks it's about time his parents know the truth. Not only that he does not want to be an architect, and truly he wants to study ballet in college and be a Broadway star, but that he will not be asking a girl to his senior prom.
Charlotte makes a nice meal and Luke calls a family meeting, with his big sister there to support him. He tells his parents that he is gay.
"Good for you, honey," Audrey says. "We always thought your sister might try being a lesbian, you know, since she has such terrible luck with men."
Charlotte does not find this the least bit amusing.
So the Centowski family are still as close as ever, maybe closer now that there are no more secrets. And Orlando's 60th birthday passes, largely uneventful, except that he finds he is needing more coffee in his older age.
Awww... if it were only that easy in real life! Ha ha - I can't get over the sim teen's bad acne!
ReplyDeletesimstate, LOL, those Sim-zits are huge, aren't they?!
