April 2079 - Orion Deppiesse is 45, Violet is 44, Dallas is 14, Delphie and Dakota are 8.
April for the Deppiesse family starts with a bamboo tree fire, and apparently Sheba is the only one who noticed.

Lind family rules?
March 2079 - Joel Harris is 37, Aurora is 33, and welcome baby Zachary!
Joel has been taking these last few months before the baby comes to learn physiology, and to be quite honest, he is baffled by it. Meanwhile, Aurora reads book reviews for her brother's debut legal thriller, which honestly aren't that great. Though, the critics are still praising her debut short story collection that came out a couple years ago. She thinks maybe she'll consider starting work on her next book once the baby is born.

how to have a quarterlife crisis
February 2079 - Chad and Riley Hathe are 27, Liza is 10, Shaun is 1.
Some people just aren't naturally happy cheery people, and Riley Hathe would be one of those. But believe it or not, Riley and Chad Hathe were once happy carefree teenagers. You might think they were centuries old, but they're only twenty-seven. Riley has always been very family-oriented, and when her family is unhappy, that means she is unhappy.

Lake County Elections, 2079!
Election November 2079!
First of all, let me explain what I'm doing here. Lakeside Heights is holding elections for various offices, and you guys get to vote! :) Below are your candidates, the office they're running for and what the job entails, and their stats on skills and experience, so you can decide who you think would be best for the job.
Three positions are running unopposed this election, because there were no other Sims qualified to run. I won't bother putting up a poll for those. The polls for the contended positions will be listed in the sidebar, and you will have until I post the November 2079 update to cast your votes. With about 13 updates before then, I would estimate that to be around the first week of November in human time.
This is just for fun, really. Only three of the positions have any major duties, which are mayor (ownership of city hall), school board president (ownership of Lake City University and local schools), and chief of staff (ownership of Lake City Memorial Hospital). The other positions will receive offices in city hall, and their positions may appear in storylines.
Candidates may keep whatever in-game job they already have, and not all jobs will correlate to the in-game job. Like a city planner or military general might also make a good mayor, for example. And either head of SCIA or military general might make a good head of military. I suppose if we have an in-game mayor who is not Mayor, we'll just pretend she is mayor of her own suburb and not the whole of Lake County.
Keep in mind that I'm just making this up as I go along ;)

snow romance
The twins are fifteen this year, freshmen in high school, and both very proud to have finally grown hair on their faces. Of course, they're still up to their usual rowdy shenanigans.

happy new year, 2079!
Adam and Heather Thompson host this year's New Year's Eve party. It's aiming to be a bit of a stuffy party, since Adam and Heather are kind of stuffy people. Or well, it was going to be stuffy, until Aurora Miguel brought the keg.
baby dust, part 2
There must have been some baby dust dropped on Brant Street this month, because Heather and Adam Thompson just found out they are expecting too. Adam is more excited about the idea than Heather is. She absolutely wants children. Really, she does. But she's only 25 and rising very quickly in the research science world. Adam hopes she'll warm up to the idea eventually.

baby dust, part 1
December 2078 - Nathan Lind is 28, Allegra is 25, Bianca is 1.
It's just that time of year again where everyone is getting sick. Both Nathan and Allegra are feeling run down with colds. They take some time out to rest while Bianca takes a nap. Allegra has an interview this week for a job as an architect's apprentice. She thought she might want to take a little work, part time, just to get out of the house. She does want another baby, or two, but Nathan isn't sure yet.
The rest does them both good, and they're feeling better rather quickly.

LCU, love, all around
Bella and Mariah are living in Academy Hall this year. In her sophomore year now, Mariah declares her major in philosophy. Not because she's known to be a big thinker, but because... well, because her guidance counselor told her to.

seaside woods retirement village
November 2078 - Tad and Tosha Harris are 69.
First, some old pictures :)
On the left are Tad's parents, Becca (Brant) Harris and Troy Harris. Becca was one of my neighborhood's founding Sims.
On the right is Tad and Tosha in high school. How about those haircuts? LOL! :)

roaches never die
October 2078 - Blake Miller is 33, Clarice is 32, Elliot is 1.
Elliot is just a couple months past his first birthday now, and still doesn't have much hair to speak of, but is positively an adorable little boy. Those ears come from his mother, which you wouldn't know because she does a pretty good job covering hers up. But Elliot is sweet and friendly, and considering both his parents are goof-balls, we don't know how he ended up so serious.

north park street townhomes, apartment life makeover!
These are the North Park Street Townhomes (aka, bachelor's row) in Lake City. Not called bachelor's row because there are no women allowed here, but just because a coincidental streak of young single men, cast-off ex-boyfriends, and forever bachelors. Patrick Nova lived here once, as did Roland Ellis, and Nathan Lind. Current residents are Jason Larson, and Alon Hutchins, who did in fact ask that big-foreheaded girlfriend of his to move in with him. There are four three-story, two-bedroom/two and a half bath attached homes.

the undeniable coolness that is Lucy Harris
September 2078 - Toby and April Harris are 40, Lucy is 12, Sarah is 10, Samuel is 7, pet dog is Pepper.
Lucy did get that cell phone she wanted for her birthday, and thus the path to coolness begins! Now she can talk all she wants without tying up her family's phone lines.

the lofts, apartment life makeover!
I am in the process of updating all of my multi-family lots to real apartments. So while I take a little break from my normal story-playing, I thought I'd share with you my apartment remodeling adventures :)
First up are the Rondal Lofts. Charlotte and Amelia will be roommates, and Cameron will have his own place.
Charlotte finds out that they have to cough up one whole week's worth of rent at a time. She says, "What? That's like a seven-year lease? Are you serious?" It's crazy, but he's serious, Charlotte, just sign the papers already!

2078, we don't need no education!
Lucy Harris is starting sixth grade at Lakeside Heights Junior High School. She is looking forward to making all kinds of new friends, and is dying to get a cell phone for her birthday. She takes an interest in fashion, in an unconventional sense. Don't let those dog-collar bracelets scare you though, she's sweet as pie.
