the finer half of the Bradshaw family

June 2075 - Andy and Claire Bradshaw are 49, pet dog is Allegra.

Andy Bradshaw is a Commander in The Military, and Claire is the top lawyer in the Lakeside Heights. Andy and Claire met in high school, and it hasn't been a perfect ride, but they're making it work. Their daughter Amelia is a sophomore at LCU.

(family ties: Claire joins together three of Lakeside Heights' largest and most complicated families. Claire's siblings are Orion and Cabe Deppiesse, and Brooke McCullough, and her cousin is Tad Harris. Andy's siblings are Madison Riley and Cody Bradshaw... Amelia has a LOT of cousins!)

(from the left: Claire Bradshaw and her husband Andy, Madison Riley and her husband Bryson, and Cody Bradshaw) The Bradshaws are a close-knit family, and enjoy spending time catching up with each other. Funny enough, all five of their children are girls - some of them get along, and some don't (ahem... Bella). They like to get together every now and then, much easier now that the girls are older.

Claire likes being a Bradshaw, and was gladly willing to distance herself from the Deppiesse mess that began when her parents divorced. The Bradshaw family were warm and welcoming to her, and Claire has always been closer to Madison than she was to her own blood siblings. She and Madison both live within walking distance to their favorite coffee shop. They like to read a good book, drink a little coffee, gossip about the important stuff, you know, like who's getting married, and who shouldn't have gotten married, and who should already be married but isn't. And of course, though they know they shouldn't, they talk about how glad they are that their daughters didn't turn out like Bella.

Claire and Andy love their home in the lakefront district of Lakeside Heights. It's beautiful - four bedrooms, three bathrooms, creek running through the back yard, lakeview, view of the lighthouse, close to the city center, and just around the corner from Madison and her family. But it just feels so massive and empty now with Amelia off at college. It's just the type of house a top lawyer like Claire would have, and Andy likes that their dog has a yard to run around in, so they are torn between staying, or maybe buying a smaller condo in the city.

But it is right next to their favorite coffee bar, so maybe they'll give it just a little more thought before they make any big decisions.

note: I don't normally play my households in any kind of strict order, but I do tend to cycle through families who are related or friends with each other, before moving on to other groupings of families.

  3. I have the resident database next to me, but still get confused. There is a lot to take in and I'll just have to be patient. I'm sure it will all 'grow' on me. I'm like a little kid in the candy shop now. Every new view of this wonderful neighbourhood and its citizens gives me this little flutter "I want more - Iwant more" (laughter).

  4. Moondaisy, I'm glad you're enjoying it, even if it is overwhelming. Just think of it as dropping into a brand new soap opera you've never seen before, where everybody is either related to or sleeping with everybody else in the neighborhood, lol!

    1. Glad you're enjoying it! Sorry about the Photobucket pictures in these older posts—or well, Photobucket should apologize on behalf of all our lost pictures. I am trying to replace them, but with over 100 broken posts, it's taking me a long time. :\
