prom 2083, revisited

With four different scenes, and travel time to community lots, that prom update took forever to shoot and produced a lot of fun outtakes. And I was also feeling very particular about the mood of my narrative, so I didn't want to throw a bunch of funny outtakes at the end.

And besides all that, it was plenty long enough on its own.

So to start things off, this is what Melissa thought of my first idea for her prom dress! She says, "My cleavage is showing, I feel so naked!"

So she liked my second alternative much better.

Her daddy really did see her off and everything, off camera. I also imagine he had to give Elijah a little hell before they went, to make sure he got her home by midnight ;)

The obligatory prom fight (not my kids!)... And where's Melissa?

She ran off to hide in the bathroom, lol!

So since none of my seniors could be bothered to go to prom this year, I had to fill it up with mostly townie kids. No one else (high school seniors or juniors) were even eligible. You might remember Melissa's first little boyfriend, Blair. (He and Melissa only had one bolt, so there's no animosities here.) He was there with his girlfriend, but he's only a sophomore still, same age as Lucy, so we'll have to imagine his girlfriend is a junior and invited him.

I'm freakishly dorky about these details, lol!

Anyway, how hilarious are they in their matching pink! LOL! Totally random, I swear! Her name is Amy (aka papergirl) and they actually have three-bolts. They met a couple months ago while she was delivering a paper to the Nova house, and he was walking to school.

Well, sweet as they seem, I lost track of them for about a minute and discovered them coming down the stairs together - it seems they went and deflowered themselves in the photobooth upstairs! Oops!

According to the story, they've only been dating a couple months - and according to gameplay, they really only just met, lol! Silly teenage three-bolters!

Melissa and Elijah had a go in the photobooth too... but just for pictures ;)

They have near three bolts as well, and a few turn-ons they might grow into. He seems like a cutie, but we really don't know much about him yet, do we?

The rest of the prom went as expected...

And while Melissa was at prom, Sheldon actually had a date of his own!!!

He doesn't look too sure about it though. She approached him first. She's 33 years old and has every intention of working as a roadie for the rest of her life. So this isn't looking like anything very serious (hell, she's a roadie, she might not even be in town next month!), and we're guessing he isn't going to tell Melissa about this one. At least not any time in the near future.

But he hasn't even been divorced two years yet and he's already back in the game. And with a younger woman! And at 50!

Not bad, Sheldon! You go get yourself some!

Dallas and Lucy were the bulk of my troubles in shooting this prom update, so I don't have many outtakes of them. Part of it is my fault, trying to create things that can't be done in-game - okay, I guess that's all my fault.

But here's Dallas at the hotel, trying to set up some mood music, and trying to be all suave about it. And we just don't think Dallas has suave in him - adorable, sweet, thoughtful, yes - suave, maybe not so much.

Lucy's like, "Awww, honey, nice try."

And then I quite obviously just love taking pictures of Summer - yeah, she doesn't get it either ;)

Summer and Tyler behaved quite well for their pictures. So I'll grant them a little pic spam, especially since he's leaving soon...

It wasn't all tragedy though. After a while they stopped crying, and there were even a few smiles.

And of course, they do still have insanely high chemistry.

And I figure it might be a little while before she gets one of these again.

I didn't actually mean to shoot their scene in the lobby of his dorm building, lol! But then they started there, and it worked, and I was getting great shots, and I was exhausted from shooting Dallas and Lucy, so I went with it.

It's kind of fitting even, how you think you can imagine how a conversation will go, and what you'll say, but once you're in it, it loses all its luster. "In real life, nothing is golden and shining," says Summer. Sometimes the most important conversations of your life are just teary and blunt, happening where ever they're going to happen, in the lobby of a dorm building...

As a naturally busty girl myself, I just have to appreciate this effort! And soon maybe there'll be height and booty sliders too, lol! See, it's shaping up nicely after all. I might just have to jump on board eventually... in like two more years at my pace ;)
