Amelia grew up mostly sheltered by her parents, which led to an abrupt and shocking entry into her young adulthood. She became caught up in a long and damaging romance with her first boyfriend, Alon Hutchins, in which she was treated with equal parts charm and betrayal. This "failure of judgment" on her part, paired with a weakness for second chances, would continue to color her life with mistrust for many years.

How perfect is Amelia's name, given the meaning? I always think it's interesting when you give a Sim baby a name and then their character ends up fitting it so completely as they grow up. You wouldn't have known when you named her, would you?

ReplyDeleteI honestly can't remember if I looked up her name when she was born, but if I did, I'd likely forgotten its meaning almost immediately. And of course, I didn't have any idea how she would grow up.
Carla, I don't normally look up names before I name a character, but I do look up the meanings as my Sim-parents are naming their babies. So if anything, I might have looked up Amelia's name then, 28 story-years ago. I had no clue she would grow into it so well though.

If you hold a v-card, you are a virgin. When you give up your virginity, you're giving up your v-card. Or you could say, you've given your v-card to that person you had your first time with. So in a round-about way, that question is stating who her first time was with.
