ooo, I like the school enrollment. Apple Valley will have to add something similar to this to keep track of the students.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I like it too. It will help me remember who is where as well. My notes are all over the place.
ReplyDeleteI can't find the answer to my question, so I have to ask. How do your teachers get paid?
ReplyDeleteMonique, good question! No, I don't think I have the answer to that anywhere yet.
ReplyDeleteMy elementary and secondary teachers are all paid through the Maxis education career. Then they're teleported into school when I play the school sessions.
My uni professors are hired as business employees at the college they belong to. They're very well paid for OFB employees though, and they make wages similar to what the education career professors make, according to their experience levels.
The only education professional who isn't in a paid career is the School Board President, but she's paid a lump sum wage for her term (same way I pay the Governor and the other officials). She wouldn't have time to hold down an in-game career anyway, because I have her working very hard visiting all the different schools ;)
how do you make a preschool?
ReplyDeleteAnon, You can make a preschool the same way you make any community lot. Have your teacher Sim own it (if you have the OFB EP), and then you can teleport the children in. Or if you want, there are mods like the visitor controller or customer selector (linked on my hack page) to bring in the right age groups automatically.
ReplyDeletedo you make the students have school projects and assignments i'm think of making some schools and assigning different books to read or art projects besides the written work they will do in the class rooms that way they can actually buy school supplies
ReplyDeletedwn2ride, yup, that's the right idea! You can click on the "schools" tag to see some of what my students do in their classes. Some other Simmers make their classes much more involved than I do though. Mine are mostly just a little bit of skilling for the sake of getting story pictures ;)
